What is the cost of petrol per litre based on the provided table?
Petrol costs 1.26 per litre. This can be determined by dividing the total cost by the number of litres for any given entry (e.g., 12.60 / 10 = 1.26).
If you purchase 10 litres of petrol, what is the total cost?
According to the table, 10 litres of petrol costs 12.60.
How many litres of petrol can be purchased for a cost of 25.20?
For a cost of 25.20, 20 litres of petrol can be purchased, as indicated in the table.
What is the number of litres (x) when the cost of petrol (y) is 0?
When the cost of petrol (y) is 0, the number of litres (x) is also 0.
NUMERICAL/MATH: Calculate the cost per litre if you spend 50.40 on 40 litres of petrol.
To calculate the cost per litre, divide the total cost by the number of litres: 50.40 / 40 = 1.26 per litre.
MCQ-STYLE: Which of the following represents the cost of 20 litres of petrol?
C
THEORETICAL: How can you determine the cost per litre from the given table?
The cost per litre can be determined by taking any pair of (Number of litres, Cost of petrol) where the number of litres is not zero, and dividing the Cost of petrol (y) by the Number of litres (x).
THEORETICAL: If the relationship between the number of litres and the cost of petrol is linear, what would the cost be for 50 litres, assuming the same rate?
Assuming a linear relationship and a cost of 1.26 per litre, 50 litres would cost 1.26 * 50 = 63.00.
DEFINITION: In the context of the table, what does 'x' represent?
In the context of the table, 'x' represents the Number of litres of petrol purchased.
NUMERICAL/MATH: If the cost per litre is constant, what is the difference in cost between 10 litres and 30 litres of petrol?
The cost for 30 litres is 37.80 and for 10 litres is 12.60. The difference is 37.80 - 12.60 = 25.20.
